Target ages: 3 to 10 year old children.
The aim of the HocusLotus App is to raise awareness among nursery and primary children of the linguistic and cultural diversity in their classroom in order to promote the integration of migrant children. It offers 4 beautiful musical and interactive linguistic games, to learn some words in 5 of the most taught languages in Europe.

COMPLETE DESCRIPTION
The aim of the new HocusLotus App is to raise awareness among nursery and primary children of the linguistic and cultural diversity in their classroom. Designed for 3 to 10 year old children, this App offers 4 musical interactive linguistic and very colourful games to have fun together in 5 of the most taught languages in Europe: Italian, English, French, Spanish and German.

The HocusLotus App has been created under the umbrella of the SOFT project -SchOol and Family Together for the integration of immigrant children-. This is a European project involving 5 countries, 40 schools, 800 children and their families to foster the integration of migrant children at school and their linguistic attainment. - Lovely animated characters who introduce and explain how to do the games.

Italia|Conferenza di chiusura progetto SOFT a Università Roma Tre

SOFT – Un progetto per l’integrazione a scuola dei bambini immigrati

Il 23 ottobre 2015 dalle 9,30 alle 16,30 presso l’Aula Volpi dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tre in via Milazzo 11b si terrà la conferenza di chiusura del Progetto Europeo “School and family together for the integration of immigrant children” coordinato dal Dipartimento di Psicologia Dinamica e Clinica di Sapienza Università di Roma con la collaborazione di sei partners in cinque Paesi Europei.

Il progetto SOFT “School and family together for the integration of immigrant children” mira a favorire l’integrazione sociale e scolastica dei bambini immigrati attraverso l’apprendimento linguistico da parte delle famiglie native e migranti della stessa scuola e attività collaborative tra insegnanti e genitori.

40 scuole, 80 insegnanti e 800 bambini di 5 Paesi (Regno Unito, Germania, Italia, Spagna e Svizzera) vi hanno partecipato per tre anni, da Dicembre 2012 a Novembre 2015.

Il progetto di ricerca e intevento è stato finanziato dalla Comunità Europea nell’ambito del programma di formazione continua Lifelong Learning Project.

SWITZERLAND | Conference September 7th-13th. 2015

Our Swiss partner, HEP-Bejune, is attending the ECER conference (Education and Transition - Contributions from Educational Research), which will take place next week, from September 7th to 13th in Budapest, Hungary.

The team formed by researchers Francesco Arcidiacono, Sheila Padiglia and Céline Miserez-Caperos will present a work related to the SOFT project, “School and family together for a multilingual learning: Transitions and participation in the SOFT project”.
